For those looking for something a little special, why not indulge in one of our exclusive Bute Food Experiences.

Bute Food Experience

The Bute Food Experience is perfect for anyone with a passion for fresh, local produce. Your base will be Nether Stravannan, luxury self-catering accommodation on the west coast of the lovely Isle of Bute, and you will have the services of your own private chef throughout your entire stay. Part of this amazing package is an exclusive dinner at the sumptuous Mount Stuart, the Victorian Gothic mansion which is home to the Marquess of Bute, and is without doubt Scotland’s most breathtaking stately home.

As well as being shown how to cook the finest dishes, you will also be involved in sourcing the ingredients. On your first day, head for nearby Loch Fad where you will be instructed in the art of trout fishing. Following an afternoon relaxing at Nether Stravannan or exploring the island's land and seascapes, you will enjoy the day’s catch, expertly prepared by your chef, in the stunning and atmospheric setting of Mount Stuart’s impressive Dining Room.

On your second day, your chef will accompany you to the Mount Stuart Farmers Market where you will select the ingredients for a delicious seasonal dinner. You will cook your meal under the guidance of your private chef.

Before departure on day three, and following a tasty breakfast prepared by your chef, enjoy a private tour of Mount Stuart’s Kitchen Garden followed by a private tour and cheese tasting session at Rothesay Creamery.
